Some where, some day you will meet your Crunch Point, February 14, 2008

This is one of those books that has a way of finding you when it is needed most. It doesn't matter who you are, how much experience you have or how much success you have gained; sooner or later you are going to have a setback. When you do (or you may be in the middle of a crisis now) you will want this book on your desk. The beauty of Crunch Point is that is doesn't overwhelm you with theory. The ideas are basic and things that you probably already know - the problem is, when you are in a crisis you can't think clearly and often overlook the basics. Brian Tracy teaches you to slow down and think. The good news is that it works and with a clear head you will meet your crunch point head on and emerge a winner.
Brian Tracy delivers the cure for fear-driven paralysis, February 14, 2008

When things go sideways, it's common for the human mind to shift to "worst case scenarios." Dwelling on these hypothetical situations generates fear, fear induces paralysis, and the "self-fulfilling prophecy"...dwelling on what you DO NOT WANT instead of facing fear head-on and fighting for what you DO WANT...becomes a reality.
The chapters are "Stay Calm," "Be Confident In Your Abilities," "Dare To Go Forward," "Get The Facts," "Take Control," "Cut Your Losses," "Manage The Crisis," "Communicate Constantly," "Identify Your Constraints," "Unleash Your Creativity," "Focus On Key Result Areas," "Concentrate On Priorities," "Counterattack!," "Generate Cash Flow," "Care For your Customers," "Close More Sales," "Keep Things Simple," "Conserve Your Energy," "Make Your Connection," "Character Is King," and "Put It All Together."
To the reviewer who commented on the size of the book (117 pages), all I can say is that I'd rather have a 117 page book that is focused and filled with usable information than a 300 page book that says nothing and goes nowhere. Look at those chapter titles. You WILL get your money's worth on this one.
This book is targeted toward working men and women with their backs to the wall. The only thing that will turn around a bad situation is calm, consistent, well-planned action. This book provides the framework. You fill in the blanks.
Stop worrying, roll up your sleeves, and get to work. Brian Tracy will coach you out of your fear, but only if you read the book and take the appropriate actions. Don't buy the book, set it on your shelf, and go back to worrying. You will get stronger with every step you take, no matter how small the steps might be. TAKING the steps is the secret.
